Lincoln Dias

Lincoln Guimarães Dias [1962] Cachoeiro de Itapemirim, Espírito Santo, Brazil

Visual artist, PhD in Communication and Semiotics, Pontifical Catholic University of Sao Paulo, and professor of Drawing and Painting at the Department of Visual Arts, UFES - Federal University of Espirito Santo, Brazil. Since 1986, he has participated in solo and group exhibitions. His work includes painting, drawing, collage and photography. He also works in the curatorial area, and especially in researching the relationship between drawing and contemporaneity in the field of visual arts. He currently coordinates the Pictorial Practices and Processes Extension Project, and leads the Research Group in Drawing Studies.
